Porcelain Veneers | Anti Aging Dentistry
Not happy with your smile or notice your face sinking in? Do you want to look younger without facial surgery? Porcelain Veneers are your answer and one of our specialities here at Goel Dental Aesthetics. With over 35 years of combined experience, we offer beautiful natural veneers for all patients.
Veneers are used to correct one of the first things people notice about your face, your smile. Veneers are an anti-aging technique and make our patients look 15 years younger as they change your facial features and the way your lips lay on your teeth, to give you an overall natural look.
Porcelain Veneers are a permanent cosmetic procedure where a thin ceramic shell of porcelain is permanently bonded to your tooth to correct cracked or chipped teeth, misshapen teeth, worn teeth, spaces/gaps, stained teeth, and crooked teeth. Each Veneer is hand made by a master ceramist to provide a natural look to match and brighten up your smile. Veneers are made of a highly durable material called porcelain and can dramatically change your appearance for the better.
The Process:
- During the first visit, Dr. Goel sits you down and listens to what your primary goals are with veneers and discusses what you currently like and don’t like about your smile. Dr. Goel knows how important feeling confident with your smile is, and handcrafts a personalized smile based on your smile goals. Dr. Goel is available to answer questions along the way and throughout the entire process.
- Dr. Goel begins the process with an initial consultation, where you will get a full examination and x-rays. During the consultation, photographs are taken and either a digital scan or impression of your teeth are taken. The scan or impressions during the first visit will then be sent out to our master ceramist to design a personalized wax smile design.
- During the second visit, which is usually 2-3 weeks after the consultation, we review your smile design, prepare your teeth and take a final impression in which the lab will create a mold to make the final porcelain. We then make you temporary veneers out of your smile design, which we also use to evaluate the aesthetics. During the temporary phase, you will be able to let us know if you would like any revisions to the sizes and shapes of the teeth.
- During the third visit, which is about 2-3 weeks after the second visit, we try on the custom, handmade porcelain veneers. At this point we evaluate the size, shape, and color of the veneers together, and with your final approval, we permanently bond and cement the veneers to your teeth.
- The fourth visit is about 5-7 days after the third visit and consists of making any small adjustments to your bite and veneers and taking final photographs.
It is important to understand that you will still need to maintain these veneers as if they are your natural teeth and make it to your yearly check ups. This will increase the longevity of the veneers.
Not everyone is an ideal candidate for porcelain veneers. If you suffer from gum disease, tooth decay, or other infections, these need to all be dealt with prior to getting porcelain veneers. Please schedule a consultation with the office to determine if veneers are the right treatment for you.

Do Porcelain Veneers hurt?
No, the veneer procedure is not considered painful. Patients may sometimes experience some sensitivity during the process, but we can administer local anesthetic or sedation if needed. We take our patient’s comfort seriously and offer patients the most comfortable and relaxing office visits with our state of the art technology.
How long do porcelain veneers last?
Porcelain veneers can last for years or even decades when they are properly cared for and done by an experienced porcelain veneer dentist. Practicing good daily oral hygiene and making your yearly six month hygiene visits is the best way to maintain your results long term. Patients who clench their jaw or grind their teeth benefit from a nightguard which can also prolong the lifetime of the veneers.
If you are interested in porcelain veneers or have any more questions about the procedure, please schedule a consultation with the office. Our doctors will discuss all details of the procedure and come up with a custom design to create your natural dream smile. We also offer virtual consultations if you do not live in the area.
