Bridges

Even after everyone's best efforts in maintaining teeth, they sometimes need to be removed to protect your health or fall out on their own.  If you’ve ever lost teeth either due to trauma, dental decay, or gum disease, replacing these missing teeth will restore both your appearance and health. A fixed dental bridge is an option when replacing a tooth. The teeth adjacent to the missing tooth are prepared for a crown and a dental bridge containing a new tooth is placed to replace the missing tooth. The crowned teeth are called abutment teeth and the missing tooth is called a pontic. These fixed dental bridges are crafted with numerous types of material including gold, porcelain fused to metal, full porcelain, and zirconia. When a patient is unable to get implants for medical reasons or prefers otherwise, a bridge is an ideal alternative to replace a missing tooth.

How Long Does It Take?

The process usually takes two appointments. In the first appointment, the teeth will be prepared and a temporary bridge will be fabricated. A final impression will be taken which will be sent to our master ceramist who will handcraft the bridge to perfectly fit your teeth and smile. The second appointment will consist of cementing the permanent bridge in place and ensuring you love the shape, size, color, and fit.
